Mark Kent
Chief Executive Officer
Mark Kent is the Chief Executive Officer of Cano Health responsible for driving the execution of the company’s vision and strategy, with a focus on improving patient health and optimizing operational performance. In this role, Mark leads efforts to integrate innovative healthcare solutions, enhance care coordination, and leverage data to drive clinical excellence and cost efficiencies.
Prior to this role, Mark was Chief Strategy Officer focused on strengthening operations and driving new strategic opportunities. He led the development of key strategies, spearheaded operational initiatives, and integrated critical functions, including coding, credentialing, payor relations, and information technology (IT).
Before joining Cano Health, Mark founded Care Management Resources / Total Health Medical Centers. He also held various senior executive roles, including CEO of Women’s Health Care Hospital in Evansville, Indiana and CEO & Regional President of all Humana-owned, Florida-based primary care practices, including CAC-Florida, MetCare and Continucare, which today are known as Conviva Care Centers.
Mark is a nurse by training, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Nursing (double major) from the University of Southern California, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Purdue University. He is one of only two hundred healthcare executives with the distinction of being double board certified as a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives and a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives. He also serves on numerous national and local boards including the Broward Health Foundation Board and is a proud philanthropist and best-selling author having sold more than 1.5 million copies of Wow Moments – Turning Everyday Experiences Into Extraordinary Events.
