IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE

CANO HEALTH PREPARED TO HELP ITS SYMPTOMATIC PATIENTS & WIDER COMMUNITY

MIAMI – In order to curb the COVID-19 surge and help protect its community, Cano Health, LLC today announced that it is ready to offer telemedicine and comprehensive treatment to its symptomatic patients and staff in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Hillsborough counties.

In recent weeks the company has significantly expanded its telemedicine and pharmacy home delivery programs and has worked around the clock with suppliers with the intent of quickly offering prophylaxis (prevention) and treatment to its wider patient base and community at large.

Individuals interested must be seen by a Cano Health clinician who will determine if they meet the criteria for treatment. Through Cano Health’s telemedicine program, patients presenting symptoms will be given a virtual appointment after they are registered on the company’s medical system. They will be evaluated by a clinician who will prescribe the treatment if warranted.

Patients will be given the choice of picking up prescriptions at their local pharmacies; or having it home delivered via Cano Pharmacy, alleviating undue exposure.

STAY AT HOME

Cano Health continues urging individuals who are presenting any mild COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms to stay home and call 800.201.6595. This number will be staffed by clinicians who will triage patients, as appropriate.

HELP FOR THE COMMUNITY

Cano Health has expanded availability of services to the community at large. Those wishing to make a virtual appointment through the company’s telemedicine program can call 800.201.6595 or visit CanoHealth.com.

“These efforts will prevent patients with mild or moderate symptoms going to the emergency room or urgent care and overwhelming the system while potentially infecting the sickest patients,” said Dr. Marlow Hernandez-Cano, CEO of Cano Health. “Combined with social distancing, telemedicine and a proactive approach may save many lives.”
