CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER
Jennifer Fernandez joined Cano Health in 2017 and serves as Chief People Officer. In her role she is responsible for aligning business strategies with human performance, as she believes that making an investment in people is a direct correlation and differentiator for successful organizations.
As CPO, Jennifer oversees all aspects of the Human Resources Department and leads the organization’s HR strategies, Employee Engagement, Talent & Acquisitions, Performance Management, Training & Development, Compensation/Benefits, HRIS & Payroll and Employment Law/Compliance.
During her tenure at Cano Health, her primary goals and accomplishments have been building the department’s infrastructure, to include key business policies and procedures, recruitment/onboarding, acquisitions, performance management and her most passionate initiative, cultivating the workplace culture with Cano’s Mission, Vision and Culture Values.
Jennifer’s background includes over 20 years of HR-related experience serving as a strategic business partner for private and publicly traded organizations such as First Service Residential, IVAX Pharmaceuticals and the Related Group.
A graduate of Barry University with a degree in Business Administration, Jennifer holds a Master of Arts, Organizational Management, Achieve Global Certified Trainer, a SHRM Certified Professional, member of the Society of Human Resources Managers (SHRM) and National Human Resources Association (NHRA).
