Interim Chief Legal Officer
Fred Green is the Interim Chief Legal Officer for Cano Health. Fred works closely with the Management Team and Board of Directors to implement effective corporate governance and executive oversight practices, as well as strategies to create stockholder value.
Fred is a distinguished attorney with over 40 years of experience advising Boards of Directors and management teams of public and private companies on M&A and other business transactions and governance matters. Before joining Cano Health, Fred served as Senior Partner and Chair of the Transactions Practice for Weil, Gotshal & Manges, an international law firm, where he led a multitude of transactions for US and foreign businesses, private funds and investment banks. Fred has been recognized by Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR, National Law Journal, and other legal publications, including being named a 2021 “Lawyer of the Year” for Corporate Law in New York by Best Lawyers in America.
Fred has served on various boards, including The American Red Cross, the Dean’s Advisory Board of Fordham Law School, and on Weil’s Management Committee and Pro Bono Committee. Fred received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and his J.D. from Fordham University.
